Built by the kings nasrides with XVIIIe S., the palate maure is divided, like those of the majority of the Moslem princes, in three groups of constructions independent but complementary: Méchouar, sits of the government and the legal administration; Cuarto de Comares which order around the court Myrtles, whose c?ur was the room of throne and finally the harem, private residence of the royal family centered on the marvellous court of the Lions and the garden of Daraxa. The walls of Alhambra are covered with coranic or poetic inscriptions (epigraphic decoration) and at their base, "of azulejos" which present various reasons, often polygonal or out of stars. These squares are generally surmounted by a plank of triangles which represent the sheets of palm trees in a very stylized way.
